Our Director

Mrs. Lin Goodwin-Wittry

Mrs. Goodwin-Wittry has over twenty-five years of practical theatre experience  and currently holds teaching certification in drama (K-12). This is her 17th year teaching, and her 13th year in District 11.

Mrs. G started performing at a young age in the family basement through a series of self written one act productions with her brother. They would later go on to develop a radio station which would never hit the airwaves, but be chronicled through cassette tapes. In a small Michigan town, surrounded by cornfields, she longed to be on a stage.

She successfully moved on to larger productions. In middle school, she joined  the community's youth theatre troupe and her middle school's drama club. In high school, Mrs. G was inducted into the International Thespian Society, and served as president her senior year. She attended Eastern Michigan University where she performed in main stage productions, student directed one acts and short films, as well as directed the Women's Center annual show. She also coached high school forensics, and taught theatre and art at a residential YMCA summer camp.

After college, she moved to California and taught in Desert Hot Springs. She started her teaching career with fourth graders, and directed the school talent show for four years.

She moved to Colorado Springs over a decade ago. Mrs. G started Galileo School of Math and Science's theatre program, and continued to build the program for ten years. She received El Paso County's PTA Crystal Apple Award in 2015.

This is Mrs. Goodwin-Wittry's third year at MHS, and she loves every minute of it.

She lives in the neighborhood with her husband, Mr. Wittry. They have two dogs (Kid & Sawyer), as well as a cat, Rufio. Mrs. G enjoys being an aunt, escape rooms, creating costumes, kayaking, walking the dogs, listening to 90's alternative and classic hip hop, practicing yoga, and watching television.
