What is ThesCon?

ThesCon is short of Thespian Conference. It's a three day, two night student theatre conference in Denver. Thousands of Thespians from around the state of Colorado gather at the Colorado Convention Center to attend theatre workshops, compete in IEs (Individual Events), and watch full length theatre productions from schools around the state. Workshops include topics of musical theatre, preparing for auditions, stage make-up techniques, yoga for actors, theatre lighting, mime, script writing, sound design, stage combat, creating realistic characters through acting techniques, and costume construction. Seniors have an opportunity to submit auditions for scholarships, and meet with colleges and universities from around the country.

MHS students involved in theatre classes, Thespian, and after school theatre productions are invited to apply to attend the conference.
